Thread: Another won't boot after upgrade to 11.04...


after doing auto upgrade 10.10 11.04 computer laptop won't boot. ran boot info script suggested in many other can see below, have dual boot, vista-ubuntu.
when try boot machine screen choose os boot into, various linux kernels ubuntu , ubuntu in safe mode, , vista. vista boots fine laptop hangs when try boot ubuntu. able copy home folder contents removing hdd, using external drive , using ext2 volume manager copy them windows machine.

i see grub did not update version carried on natty; suspecting have mix of grubs , @ least contributing current booting problems.

have (or can make) natty/11.04 livecd/liveusb (perhaps using pc?)

need natty/11.04 livecd/liveusb current version of grub.

please boot off livecd/live usb, select try, , then:
