i've upgraded 10.10 10.04, , since in biz of upgrading, decided check on version of java..
i'm running sun java 1.6.0_24, , sun's java checker says there new version of java available, 1.6.0_25..
"sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin", , message these newest version..
mean 1.6.0_25 hasn't been added repositories yet?
there way manually install 1.6.0_25 relatively easily?
in advance,
druegan
yupp, might available (in repos) 11.04 .
there's how-to here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=76702
not sure if it's up-to-date, shouldn't harder or different.
my personal advice:
stick version you've got, unless really need newest version.
can never go wrong old saying... "if ain't broken, don't fix it."
