hey guys have hp g7-1070us laptop coming.
know if ubuntu 10.04 install ok.
coming windows 7.........and thinking dual booting windows 7.
cheap dont windows cd , hp lets make 1 backup install cd set, or buy 1 of there cd's 16 dollars.
gets worse if use restore cd hp take 4 6 hours install windows 7 onto laptop.
in advance.
you mean 11.04 or 10.04? have similar gateway laptop core 2 duo processor , intel graphics. 10.04 , 10.10 both worked flawlessly, 11.04 backlight not work, causing serious headaches.
tried bunch of fixes , located brightness adjustment keys on keyboard used fix problem. i'm not sure whether of fixes applied worked or whether brightness keys along.
had partitioning problems caused failed installs in 11.04, did not experience in 10.04 or 10,10.
