we have 1.5.23 site running cb subscriptions, acymailing, joomgallery , sobi2. site hosted @ greengeeks on apache server running php 5.3.13, mysql 5.1.63
for months site has had random memory use spikes. host has been unable pinpoint cause or process running during spikes.
now, site taking extremely long load. modules not appear when loads, except 1 shows "database error: mysql server has gone away" error.
we have run database check, optimize , repair myphpadmin , find no problem. have run db checks using cb subscription tool, again finding no problem. greengeeks support says there nothing wrong server, , have run repair on database.
greengeeks adamant problem lies in site itself. we've re-installed joomla core files overwrite possible corruption. still, no change.
