Thread: Won't Recognize Wifi Networks

hey all, i've been converting old ibook g4 on linux sort of reclamation project, , has been going except wireless internet. i've installed ubuntu hardy (8.04) on it, , went through whole process of getting b43 firmware install broadcom driver, far can tell successful. however, using both network manager , wicd comp doesn't detect of wifi networks. don't think it's range issue because used wifi fine on computer when still running osx on it. else problem?

depending on broadcom card have should install either b43 driver or broadcom sta driver; have broadcom 4312 , use broadcom sta driver, , b43 not work mine. @ following page support:
