Thread: Hotspot Roaming and Disconnection issue

hi folks,

os: ubuntu 10.04

i'm connecting hotspot modem. when watch syslog (var tail -f /var/log/syslog) see:
code:
jun 1 01:16:34 ganj networkmanager: <debug> [1306883794.002657] periodic_update(): roamed bssid 00:25:15:a0:69:76 (sfr wifi public) 00:25:15:4a:95:d2 (sfr wifi public)
after roaming, ubuntu doesn't reconnect (doesn't try) modem. if wait long time, may connects didn't experience much. thing struggles me is; don't have issue when use dual windows 7. didn't follow system logs in windows if disconnects modem because of romaing, assume reconnects modem automatically or @ least shows me login page (i don't have reconnect modem manually). disconnect modem when i'm on windows after session expires (after 2 hours).

tried specify bssid in wireless configuration stick specific modem time ubuntu creates new wireless connection same hotspot , ignores newly created (bssid specified) connection.

have reconnect manually modem everytime roams , boring.

idea appreciated. in advance.

(i disconnected 1 more time while writing post, happens frequently)

bump!
