we have had recurrent problem indesign crashing when trying update files have been edited in incopy. can work around problem finding few (sometimes one, several) icml files causing crash , unlinking. can re-export , continue on our merry way. have tried requisite deleting of preferences, exporting idml, etc., things not help.
support has not been helpful far, saying not recommend using these programs on network!!! hope that's miscommunication issue.
digging little deeper, everytime crashes, generates protectiveshutdownlog: log shows 4 apln did not load (see below). (this correlation, not causation) hoping adobe can jump in , offer real support.

ok, update today. after discussion adobe support, appears "known issue" , workaround move indd , icml files non-shared drive before opening them in indesign. incorporate practice , see if solves problems have been having.
i thought incopy designed work indesign in collaborative/network environment, workaround doesn't make sense me.
are there other users of incopy , indesign store , work on files on shared network drive? if so, interested in hearing workflow , if having file update problems.
