i'm relatively new web development , wanted community feedback on whether joomla right choice project , if templates/extensions recommended. web site application interfaces between 2 databases using php mysqli , soap messaging. pages consist of either forms enter/update data databases or tables display it. had decent start on project using static php/html/jquery but, being new web design, started little scattered content. when ran joomla , thought tool keep pages , data organized. i've been self-teaching reading books @ safari books online web development when came across joomla , cms approach building web sites, read through joomla 2.5 eric tiggler. found it's great introduction joomla , have cool 'corba' website up, i'm still not if joomla right pick project. out there have experience building applications joomla? there templates geared toward application development?

yes, joomla right choice curd operation in database. there lots of extensions create forms capture , display data. have not used soap messaging in joomla. sure there extensions same. can check joomla extensions.
