Thread: HUP console-kit-daemon

hi,

apologies if dumb question, had round , not found answer in form understand!

memory dissapearing on ubuntu 10.04.1 server, have been restarting server, have traced console-kit-daemon seems eating lots of memory.

have manually hup'd (via webmin) , has restored memory if had re-started server.

want set cron task hup it.

have read, think means hup process id, command line be; kill -hup 21529

assume system re-starts other reason pid change, there better way of doing this?
