Not sure how to add this advanced effect

i have landing page user return multiple times. on several click boxes. each click box set jump/branch specific slide loops landing page when done viewing content.

 

what i'd know how once user clicks on click box , jumps specific slide returns landing page can have click box change colors (similar url when click on it, goes blue purple) user knows clicked on area , need view other pieces on slide.

i not understand question: click box invisible default, how can change colors?
