Installation Prob: JFTP: & all DIR permissions unwritable - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i set sites through godaddy easiest thing out there setting databases , on. time have use clients local hosting company. gave me ip set site in, along db name, u/n, p/w, , running php5.3.10.0.

i installed joomla 2.5 , thought put db info in correctly, @ least took without coughing up. when installing components, mods, , plugins, , error saying "jftp: :delete: bad response". also, checked directory permissions , set "unwritable". gives , how change permissions?

you try changing file permissions chmod using ftp.
