Thread: Easytether, G++ and Libusb installation problems all interconnected

okay. trying ubuntu 7.10 tether android using easytether app. have run few problems. tried installing driver easytether , if remember installed driver have install libusb-1.0.6 trying configure , got following error

configure: error: in (the location of file):
configure: error: c compiler cannot create executables

so googled around , found had install g++ downloaded , transferred computer , loaded , received following error package installer

error: dependency not satisfiable: g++-4.2

so googled around , found had use synaptic package manager install don't think can using offline package file. awesome. keep in mind main predicment have no internet on computer, using different computer post this. want freaking internet. tried using ethernet connection share wifi laptop ubuntu laptop couldn't work either. i'm quite new linux have been running these problems crazy. please please please help. know if internet on computer can things going, lol thx in advanced.

ps using amd64 laptop, think might causing of problems
