morning all,
friend of mine has installed ubuntu onto system , has situation no longer boot windows xp.
can gather, has downloaded latest version, , run installer within windows. has 2 320gb drives , ubuntu has installed on second, leaving windows on first hard drive. has installed grub menu.
when unit started, can pick either linux or windows grub menu , boot ubuntu without problems. have looked @ hard drives within ubuntu , first drive still ntfs windows directories on it.
if select windows grub menu, windows xp logo comes though system freezes or re-boots itself. safe mode not work either , hangs last file being loaded showing \windows\system32\drivers\jgogo.sys
problem bought machine second hand doesnt have of recovery disks came machine (though reasonably modern pentium 4)
have ideas doesnt need me find windows xp disk , reinstall windows on top of itself?
