Problems with Smart Search highlighting - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i have problem smart search module (at http://www.musictheory.dk - site under development).
if set 'highlight search terms' yes in admin backend, site crashes (loading forever) if search quotation marks, , if there results.

the script seems cause problem (firefox comes warning script):

i did not alter above script in way. did alter layout of smart search component bit editing files in components/com_finder. did not edit js files. i've tried downloading joomla again , replacing following folders, not seem help:
components/com_finder
modules/mod_finder
media/com_finder
plugins/finder

have missed folders?

any suggestions how can fix problem? som stored mysql code causes problem?
disabling highlight function not option me.

also, i've wondered why there show backslashes when searching in quotation-marks? seems general thing.
