Initial login screen url and login issues - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i having trouble initial login screen user comes after clicking activation link in activation email.

i have 2 websites both joomla 2.5.6 , 1 giving problems brings user following url:

mywebsite.com/register?view=login

with site, if 1 puts in new username , password in login area in central area, not logged in brought screen.

with other site, registration link brings 1 to:

mywebsite.com/component/users/?view=login

this screen looks same 1 above, however, this, user can login correctly after putting in details.

i trying troubleshoot why first site doesn't direct registration same /component/user/?view=login url. if put in manually, first website work.

i have made sure .htacess , user options settings same between 2 sites.

what missing?

compare 2 websites global defaults. check friendly seo settings...
