Can't update my Joomla from 2.5.4 to 2.5.6 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i have 2 unfinished websites. in both had 2.5.4 version installed. update 1 2.5.6 not other one. second keeps telling me there no new version of joomla..
joomla date
and entering into:
you have latest joomla! version, 2.5.4.

whats going on???
i cleared cache see nothing new.

as long havent hacked core, manual upgrade?

always perform backup, use akeeba if unsure how take backup of site file , database manually
