Thread: Re-installed 10.04 and having log-in errors

i re-installed lucid onto desktop pc, , having no end of trouble it! when turn computer on , log in, automatically logged in user defined session. have tried changing session definition before logging in (safe mode), , have had no luck. have tried re-installing again, , problem remains. ideas?

note: have used same disc install system before, had data loss. data recovered, , problems showing up.

do check of disk status in disk utilities? tell when check disk utility? in disk status
