hi, need ubuntu installation. had ubuntu 6.06 dapper drake on hp pavilion 512n , 1 day trying install fedora 7 on , computer froze while partitioning. booted computer again see "operating system not found" message. went install ubuntu , got partitioning phase. selected guided partitioning scsi 0,0,0 on 60 gb hard disk. when started partition, every ubuntu disk tried said error /dev/sda , said retry, ignore, or cancel options. don't know wrong want reinstall ubuntu, if knows answer, please help.
first, 6.06 has been obsolete , unsupported years; need more recent release.
second, looking here? said hard drive failing, so... replace it.
