I cannot open files -- whether my own edited or from another source

every time go open file documents edited in photoshop elements 10, error message shows up:

 

what in world going on here? cannot open pdf links -- error message comes up. started similar discussion in photoshop elements forum directed acrobat forum because seems more of acrobat issue. how can fixed? p.s. did not try attach file in image below e-mail or that. cannot open in documents files , can open in elements organizer or editor.

photoshop can save pdf's, acrobat cannot natively open psd
