Trouble getting panel to advance in widget when working in design/edit view

i have had problem on/off , figure out how right way work don't have recreate every time happens --- create lightbox or composition widget library , good, , appears ok; problem when want edit, can't change panel -- when turn previous/next arrow on , click , therefore can't edit panel not showing (can't advance can so)....

 

anyone else encounter , have work around?????

when working lightbox, can click on thumbnail , associated panel appear can edit. let me know if need more clarification.
