11.04 ubuntu server installed graphical environment, i'm getting gnome graphical environment, wonder if there other functional graphical environment ubuntu server, idea serves maintain network , have tools such end.

there isn't official gui environment designed server management. if must have gui , want save resources, i'd recommend lxde, install so:

sudo apt-get install xorg lxde lxdm
