Thread: ftp mget command - recursion?

just introduced myself ftp. transferring non-sensitive files to/from personal ftp site. can't seem find recursion option mget in ftp make local copy of site. have tried

code:

 mget -rf * mget --recursive * mget -recursive *

result in files in / being dl not traverse down file tree.

no directories exist in local directory. tried directory created same name remote directory. mget doesn't appear able open remote directories anyway response 550 unable open file returned.
