i have experience joomla none security functions. setting new site , want page available public splash page. beyond page there user accounts. took around default login form , can turn on , users log in it. however, doesn't appear prevent them roaming around pages.

thoughts?

create single page , make homepage - default item - within menu manager.

edit of other menu items setting them user access level other public - 'registered' example.

in order beyond front page have logged in.

you should change access level of categories , articles too. , if want multiple different levels of logged in users you'll need figure out user-groups , roles/access level stuff first.
