shooting canon xa10, 60i mts files ones can smooth playback on w7x64 i7 ati 5870 machine cs6 master. 30fp (canon progressive) playback harsh in looks frames trying catch each other, noticeable, ghosting type effect.
every attempt i've made import , edit within premiere or after effects results in poor h264 output same affect.
i've been editing years cs , avoid h264 plague. new project shot canon xa10 mts 1080, both 30fp , 60i. i've tried playing files on several media players , windows media player 1 offers smooth playback , 60i files.
30fp or 24p outputs poorly described above..
my pc has horsepower, suspect wrong either way handles progressive h264 files of type. camera set automatic mode in each case offer test footage. restored entire system new state of w7 , played files same result ruling out other codecs (except possiblity of ati installed hardware accelerators? part of driver suite)
my guess windows somehow using right filters when playing 60i file, others having issues dealing including adobe.
test shot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1vmz8485s0wyr3e/30pf%20sports.mts
finally found workaround. created new ae comp , used custom framerate of 59.94, accepts 60i mts , allows me edit , exports play without jitter.
fromt here dropped handbrake , created 29.97 smooth playing h264. there god.
it didn't shot footage using canon's sports mode, implies much-higher-than-normal shutter speed, in turn acentuates phenomenon of judder.
