i need create virtual floppy device ext2 file system, using latest ubuntu , vmware player.
tried create virtual floppy using vmware reasons ubuntu not recognize after connect vmware player menu.
tried create virtual floppy file using winimage software creates floppies fat12 , can not reformat under linux. problem once virtual floppy mounted mkfs.ext2 not want create file system on - because mounted. once not mount have no idea how can ask mkfs.ext2 use file because uses (as far understand) /dev/fd... devices.
have command similiar ext2 -
sudo mkfs.msdos -c floppy.img 1440.
apprecitata on issue. lot of thanks.
could not format ext2 in virtual machine?
