i've windows-7 laptop, , ubuntu desktop runs ok on under virtualbox. have meaty (headless) server running ubuntu server.

strikes me better solution establishing access linux desktop on windows laptop might use "remote desktop" client on laptop connect appropriate remote desktop service running on headless server.

i'm wondering if there significant pitfalls approach - , comments other users may doing already. easiest way install sufficient packages desktop experience similar ubunutu desktop using rdp headless ubuntu server installation?
