Thread: Grub problem: no such device

ok have 11:04 on pc , have 10:10 on usb external harddrive. had reinstall 11:04 , result can no longer load 10:10, usb plugged in during installation , 10:10 showed on partition manager. 10:10 shows in grub menu on booting ,when try boot 10:10 error message saying no such device present , install headers

how reconfigure boot/grub load 10:10?

can boot freshly re-installed 11.04 10.10 usb drive attached? if so, (with usb drive attached) , open terminal , run:

sudo update-grub

then reboot , see if can boot 10.10. if not, boot 11.04 again (and again usb drive attached), , go site:
