Thread: Ubuntu with hylafax and physical fax machine setup

please excuse me if i'm creating thread in wrong place.

recently, me , other partners had open our 1st business office.
got 1 phone line , want following:
ubuntu fax (hylafax) receive facsimile , forward email
physical fax machine used send facsimile.

i've installed , configured hylafax.
hylafax set receive , forward faxes our general mailbox
issue arise when 1 wants send fax using physical machine. if use phone line spliter , connect faxmachine , ubuntu server togheter i'm affraid both machines end picking incoming faxes.
need hardware or have setup done correctly?

hey, if still trying figure out how use hylafax pickup incoming faxes still able use fax machine on same line outbound here's idea.
fax machines have number or rings before accepting fax option. outbound fax machine, set highest incoming rings value allowed to.
on hylafax config page set modemringsbeforeresponse number less (i'd closer 0).
have not done myself figured might painless method try. luck.
