Serial# Fine on Install - Get Error Message Now

rebuilding old xp install - reinstalled adobe acrobat 5.05 cd - loaded , took serial#.

 

when attempting run - "no valid acrobat serial number found. acrobat quit" message.

 

support says dead program - pound sand. 

 

any thoughts on how install working , accepting used work ?

you might want try solutions in document: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-no-valid-acrobat-serial.html  realize doesn't acrobat 5 in title, think steps help.
