just indexing do? clicked on photo & asked program find similar photo & reply better results if indexed first. crazy part went pse 10 manual & did text search stupid manual useless since doesn't contain word 'indexing', closest passing mention of 're-indexing'.
it same thing index of physical book -- allows locating you're searching for.
so, book, instead of looking @ 300 pages, first go index , "pythagorean theorem" , see specific pages have phrase on them. pse populate index of visual similarity data uses searching images fit each of various criteria used searching.
