Hyperlinks won't work on some (my client's) machines but are fine on others

hi all,

i’m stuck on infuriating problem , i'm hoping here may able help.

i’ve created report client includes several hyperlinks url’s. these work on pc, on macbook (in both acrobat , preview) client not seeing them @ – , they’re trying them on several machines apparently (both mac & pc runing acrobat reader). i’ve had friend test pdf on macbook , sees links, don’t work entirely should.

i’ve been through adobe pages , thought i’d found solution unchecking ‘shared hyperlink destination’ box – that’s not made difference. i’ve played settings on exporting pdf; i’ve tried >export> adobe pdf (interactive) way; i’ve tried defining own pre-set incldue-hyperlinks checked; i’ve tried deleting hyperlinks indesign , manually inserting them inside acrobat pro – no avail!

help!

this new client whole stack of work lined me , has been problem job – need find solution!!

thanks,
luke

hi luke,

don't worry. let's try fix asap.

so convert indesign hmm? know:

do have links pointing files locally stored on machine?

what version of acrobat have?

what version of indesign?

open pdf in acrobat -> click on tools->content->links... see blue border on links? on every link?

if file not confidential, willing share indesign file? may find out can try on other files in future. possibly.
