was running 10.10 on machine since october when came out without issues. machine has run hot , gotten terrible battery life assumed hardware config (820qm processor, quadro 1800 video).
upgraded 11.04 hoping power consumption improved. seems temperature control not work properly. during heavy cpu utilization, machine gets hot , shuts off after few minutes.

couldn't find kernel or ubuntu bugs related issue. sidelight, have had several suspend/resume failures in 11.04
i'm running 64bit. install technically xubuntu although run awesomewm.
else experiencing issue?
