How to start Joomla after installation? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello everyone,

i newbie joomla , happy installed joomla using xampp in computer. worried not know how start joomla?

do need open xampp control panel , start mysql , apache service everytime , enter "http://localhost/joomla/administrator" go admin page (joomla directly folder) ?

or

just entering "http://localhost/joomla/administrator" in browser enough open joomla admin page without start xampp service

please advise.

you use xampp control panel control xampp not joomla:

• to access joomla site type http://localhost/site_name in browser.
• to access joomla administration backend type http://localhost/site_name/administrator in address bar
• to access joomla databases use http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
• to access xampp main control page enter http://localhost/xampp
