hi, use able add applets top panel in gnome in previous versions of ubuntu (<11.04). understand unity environment, like, has changed how 1 adds things top panel. have indicators?
there description of functionality of these indicators: how add/remove indicators, 1 can find new indicators, etc. ask because have been having trouble adding indicators. tried add system monitor indicator. added installing apt-get. every time reboot has disappeared , have run again menu. can't figure out how make permanent.
can help?

no more panel adding panel.i can't figure out how make permanent.
put want on launcher. run system monitor , right click on in launcher and
add launcher. either click on run or windows key , # on launcher @ same time open.
when login click on user name , on bottom panel choose classic ubuntu , gnome2 are
used give unity run once used it, works great. windows key , open applications.
lots of different key commands starting windows key, a,s,w give em go.
