laying out book, how to insert pics that wrap text AND stay in correct place in body

when laying out book pics, apply text wrap on , drop on body want be. of course when editing text later, shifts pics stay in same place. there ways insert pics flow body of text while text wrapping around it? know can insert pics directly body , flows body there cant have text wrap around sides of it.
