Restricting group access to Featured Article not working - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello,
have few other things on site (sub-menus) have sucessfully restricted registered users, i'm having difficulty getting same result featured article.
featured article shown registered user, though have featured article's permission set (registered users only) can still see when i'm not logged in.
i hope explained correctly. in advance.
