CS3 Won't Shut Down...etc.

hello again...

 

ever since microsoft tech walked me thru 'repair' (?) of windows 7 pro...illustrator cs3 weird things.

 

1st...when attempt link photoshop file (psd)...(so place transparent image in design...which has cmyk professional print...which time ever link psd's)...i this:

 

 

then...when go shut down...i this:

 

 

is there way repair illustrator...???...w/ install disc...or there quicker answer...???

"close program", while inconvenient can ignored...just click on close....does no harm

 

i on occasion few programs , think registry issue.  can try "clean" registry (many free tools ccleaner) or if run program (at start) "administrator" may fix it.  right click launching icon, click on run admin.  may sticky , remain ok may need few times, after cold pc startup.

 

 

instead of linking, did try embed file? may not great solution may work around?
