i went many website learn different languages. each language learned interesting. however, have never been able "master" language. mean use in way use in job. correct me if wrong assume if participate in open source project learn how work in team, make program useful , able give here has done me.
can suggest/recommend open source project fulfill 3 criteria? don't know language don't know how helpful can be, try learn necessary.
there many ways help, not code.
1 of important things write documentation, translate web sites or software native languages.
if want begin in ubuntu community there launchpad lot there.
, of course , contribute here on forums, write tutorials etc.
can take existing project , start contribute it, not difficult dig open source projects.
