Product Import Error/Problem

i have been trying weeks upload product import. keeps coming error.

 

i downloaded product list , changed retail price , catalogues - columns havent been altered or deleted keep coming error:

 

 

error: [the number of columns in imported file incorrect. note: sometimes, excel automatically converts csv file on save tab delimited format.

please download latest import template file or entire product list action box section.]. import process failed on record: [17] please ensure 1) mandatory columns present, 2) products have product codes defined, should unique (if importing products)

 

i have checked product codes , there none same , columns present. have tried upload on internet explorer, google chrome , firefox none work.

 

i not know - can please help!

in experience, error because have 1 extra, hard see, sneaky blank column in upload spreadsheet.

 

to fix need download upload template import.

 

then highlight first row contains field names , copy row.

 

then go upload spreadsheet , insert row below heading row , paste upload template headings row in.

 

then go along spreadsheet , check headings match headings upload template.

 

i sure find there 1 sneaky little column sitting there no label, , 2 rows of labels stop matching after point.

 

once fix upload should work fine, long don't have many weird characters in text area etc.

 

this has happened quite lot on uploads, how know sneaky hidden blank column!
