Installing a new template - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

learning joomla! on computer (mac os mountain lion) using sample. downloaded template. chose .zip file package file in extensions manager: install. extensions install gets msg "warning: failed move file." file not in templates folder. unzipped file , dragged , dropped templates file, did not work. dragged , dropped .zip file templates folder, did not work. possible solutions?

you need change folder permissions allow joomla write folders. install via extension manager.

a manual copy wont work unless manually edit files, not recommended.
