I can't get past Joomla 2.5 installation step 4. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

actions taken resolve forum post assistant (v1.2.1) 16th august 2012 wrote:installed / uninstalled / reinstalled xampp 1.7 , joomla 2.5 numerous times on 2 different pen drives , 2 different laptops (one xp, 1 vista). verified apache , mysql connected ports 80, 443 , 3306 respectively using xampp control panel port check , independently verified via netstat commands. i've read joomla forums , tried pursue suggestions there.

i suspect has running xampp pen drive - can't remember reason why, i'm sure doesn't it.

could remove drive , install xampp there test??
