hi, think many of struggling have usable multi-language system in joomla, since joomfish after 6 months of 2.5 release still in alpha (and it's not news future support of new versions) , native system provides no way of linking item in different languages except menus (menu item associations).
can have @ least category item , article item association in joomla 3.0 or 3.1? think should not cumplicated add , @ least have official place links hold , extensions build more sophisticated management features (list of untraslated items , no)?
i saw in joomla pool idea improvement of multilanguage among top 10 requests found no mention of trying put in next joomla version...

alas, not simple think.
we tried, christophe demko , i, in 2.5 , have not succeeded (routing issues)
i wish propose patch nobody volunteered.
