having had bit of tussle trying alter partitions on hard drive , having seen standard 'partition table' warnings more times possibly remember, wondered can go wrong , stats are?
mean out of 1,000,000 partition attempts how many fail? how many result in funked hdd?
curious....
i bet few in every million partition operations result in actual error.
being said, common people mess settings , accidentally delete data intended keep. that's real reason why put warning there.
while ago when upgraded ubuntu, told use old home folder, decided use old partition , write on data instead. fault , didn't have backup because didn't care actual data on it, still pisses me off did that.
