hi, i'm installing ubuntu 11.04 server adm64. iso-file burnt cd, boot cd , began installation. after configuring installation (copying of files) running 75%, asks inserting cd named "natty narwahl 11.04 amd64 2011-04-26". cd inserted, thought , pushed tray in , out, didn't work. ui did not respond me pushing enter, , "go back" button did not send me either.
rebooted machine , googled couple of minutes. saw alternate cd recommended, , since machine pretty old downloaded alternate cd , tried again. same thing happens alternate, don't know do.
possible things error:
- no internet connection during installation
- some hardware error in hard drive. seems unlikely cause error
- the graphics card built-in , sucks pretty bad
please, someone, me out. have no idea do, , don't want switch linux distribution cope silly problem. thanks.
i seeing on 1 of our servers... tried normal desktop cd , installs fine. new dell server , i've had ubuntu 10.04.2 running fine on it.
