Thread: can't upgrade VirtualBox from 3.2 to 4.0

have received notice virtualbox has upgrade - 4.0, when downloaded deb file, after file downloaded notice conflicts 3.2 , not go ahead , complete install.

have ubuntu 10.10 32 bit.

know why there conflict of 4.0 3.2 virtualbox?

you can remove virtualbox3.2 , install ver 4.0 using deb installer. settings 3.2 can used in 4.0 long .files in home folder intact.

had done , reverted 3.2
