Thread: update manager error-Not enough free space on the disk


hi all,

when tried update ubuntu gave me following error:

"the upgrade page needs total of 19.9m free space on /boot. please free atleast additional 3624k of disk space on /boot. empty trash , remove temporary packages of former installations using sudo apt-get clean"

please me fix error. why packages require free space on /boot.
how empty trash
how remove temporary packages of former installations using sudo apt-get clean"

right click trash icon , choose 'empty trash'.

open terminal (applications>accessories>terminal) , paste in command have above:
