Thread: Some Skype notification sounds not working in Skype 2.2.0.25

hello!

i'm using ubuntu 9.10 , upgraded skype 2.2.0.25.
sound quality , works, i'm happy report.
however, ever since upgraded skype versions, of the
notification events don't produce sound. example, incoming
calls produce popup, no sound. same outgoing or
incoming chat messages.

things ringing sound outgoing call work, not
ring incoming one.

and, yes, sound files there , accessible , events
have been enabled. tried set outgoing ringing sound
1 incoming call, nothing heard. so,
apparently, not sound file causes problem.

have idea what's causing this? one
experiences this?

hopefully same issue you're having.
couldn't hear sounds messages , other notifications either, ringing out , call sounds worked fine. solved me.
