Thread: power manager not recognizing battery


just got new toshiba satellite l-655-s5150. (running 64bit ubuntu 11.04)

thing wrong power manager has no tab battery options. computer works if unpluged, , when plugged in indicator lights on laptop charging, whole time power manager thinks laptop plugged in.

other day had problem headphone jack not working fixed, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1774627

dont know if had it, ( wouldn't think anyway.)

keep laptop plugged in, there lots of times im using battery power, , nice know when battery getting low, don't lose work.

open terminal , type

pull out laptop power supply , put in. output below ?
