Thread: error in synaptic manager

hi,
getting problem synaptic manager,when ever tried open it,it show me error message
e: encountered section no package: header
e: problem mergelist /var/lib/apt/lists/ca.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_natty_main_bina ry-i386_packages
e: package lists or status file not parsed or opened.
e: _cache->open() failed, please report.

hi, try command in terminal, if not fix post version of ubuntu using.

code:

sudo rm -r /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf

code:

sudo apt-get update
