hello everybody, have big problem, have external hard disk , untill yesterday worked perfectly. yesterday pc chrashed , rebooted forcedly external hd connected , isn't recognized ubuntu.
thought file system damaged tryed connect ti win , worked. made scandisk , checkdisk ubuntu did't see anyway.
wanted try force mounting isnt' seen. when execute fdisk -l return internal hd.
ah formatted ntfs , 2.5 inch , self powered.
can't understeand why works on win , ubuntu can't see it.
has idea?what can try?

i'm assuming it's usb drive if so, other usb items recognized ? if not maybe need reinstall linux usb controllers or @ least reinstall usb drivers? or try in usb port in same computer in linux. see if linux can find then. i'm new linux myself can suggest help.
